Hotel forgives guest whose room was trashed by hungry seagulls 17 years ago

How nice.

A hotel in Belgium lets lonely guests rent a goldfish to keep them company

Because goldfish are incredibly affectionate, empathetic pets. 😉

When you’re travelling solo, staying in a hotel can be a somewhat lonely experience – but one hotel in Belgium is setting out to change this for their guests!

The Hotel Charleroi Airport , located in Gosselies just a stone’s throw from Brussels, is offering its guests the option to rent a goldfish for the night for just over £3, to have a bit of company in their room.

Although the hotel has been running the service for a while, it’s just grabbed the attention of social media after one Twitter user shared a photo inside the hotel reception.

The image shows a little goldfish sitting in his glass bowl, next to a sign that reads: “Alone in your room and want company? Rent-a-fish, €3.50 euros/night.”

Guests using toilet at posh hotel can be seen from street after epic window design blunder

It might be a loo with a view, but a newly opened hotel in Berlin is giving passers-by a bit of an eyeful.

For some unknown reason, the architect who designed the restaurant area in the 25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin thought the toilets should be placed next to the floor-to-ceiling windows, despite the building being only ten storeys tall.

The hotel, which offers spectacular views of the Berlin Zoo, unfortunately also now offers eagle-eyed pedestrians another sight if they look up.

Several passers-by on the street below have been taking snaps of the hapless toilet users, which has prompted the hotel to put up notices which read: ‘Please be careful, not only the monkeys are watching.’
